RAINY DAY OUT ON THE POINT original oil painting by Terrill Welch

Sometimes the light reflected through a rainy day has the sweet bitter melancholy which reflects a sense of inner peace like no other day. The bright colours of wet rocks balanced the soft hues of the day with the houses and gentle seaside cityscape in the background reminding us we are part of this view.

This is a painting of Cattle Point in Victoria British Columbia, Canada

A 16 x 20 inch oil on gessobord with a 2 inch wood cradle. No framing required. The painting is available at the Artsy Home online gallery at http://www.artsyhome.com/product/rainy-day-out-on-the-point and a couple of detail images are included for closure viewing.

SPROUT: Where were you the last time you realized that you were part of the view?

It is gorgeous. I am sure it will sell very quickly.

Thanks Sue. Glad you made it through :) Paintings of this size generally take awhile to find a home regardless of how much we might like them. But that is okay because in the meantime I get to enjoy it :)

Terrill – I love the sky-kissed soft pink in the background of your beautiful background!

I don’t know about the “last” time because it’s so natural now I think I’d only notice if it were missing. However, the first time was in the Highlands of Scotland when I was about 7-years old. I think my soul jumped inside me and shouted, “I knew it!”

Yep! I can just imagine this Laurie! And then your confident 7 year old self settled into an experience of the world as one. Perfect!

I was part of the view for a while, but took a well-needed rest after the test taking for the after-school program.

Uggghhh! Glad I have no tests on my horizon. Do rest same… or maybe what a movie… just to relax of course ;)
